Jesus takes a look full of compassion as all those who suffer and first of all for his Mother. The mother feels sorry for the future sufferings of the Son. Nevertheless, the compassion is incomparably more serene. Then the Son tries to reach the sad look of Mary, presses his cheek against his Mother and, embracing her warmly, it seems to whisper to her. It will be the same that is like inscription in the icons: ?Don?t cry for me, Mother?. The anticipated pain is the cross and the passion. Together with the image, the Apostle John, Alexander Nevsky, John Crisostomos and Saint Eudokia.
