The mother of God is on her death bed with the Apostles. In the center of the icon looks to Christ to receive the soul of his mother… The residence of the Virgin (Zion), appears back. Tradition says the Virgin watching the end of her life sent to light a chandelier, as Jesus said “Women here is your son”, then turned to John and said to him “Here is your mother”.
