On one side we can see the crucifixion, the Virgin Mary and St. John; and on the other side we see the resurrection, and martyrs Florus, Lauro and Blas. Floro and Lauro brothers died martyrs in the 2nd century by building a temple and dedicate it to Christ, is attributed them powers against epidemics, hence their fame as protectors of domestic animals. Blaise, Bishop of Sebaste (Armenia), lived in a cave of Mount Argaeus in the company of wild animals, practicing medicine with man and beast.
