Saint John the Baptist

A big nimbus surrounds John’s face, framed by two partings of hair in every shoulder, and for the long tufts of a deep beard. John supports in the hands a roll and a chalice with a small blessing naked Christ, suggest image of the Eucharistic bread inspired by the words of the prophet in the Jordan: “Is here the God’s Lamb, which calm the sin of the world”.
