Mary is offered to God by her parents, Joaquin and Ana, in the Temple of Jerusalem; just as another Hannah, mother of the prophet Samuel, offered her son for the service of God in the tabernacle where her glory was manifested (cf. 1 Sam 1, 21-28); Just as, years later, Mary and Joseph would take the newborn Jesus to the Temple to present him to the Lord (cf. Lk 2: 22-38).
