The prophetic activity of Eliah, born in Galaad (Transjordania), developed in the decade of 860-850 to. C, during the reign of Ajab and the queen Jezabel. After having predicted a droughtf. Eliah shelters in a cave of the desert, where he is fed by a crow. To his return to the court, Carmelo defies Baal’s priests in the mount, urging them to that they make lower the fire of the sacrifice. Eliah goes out winning, and happens to knife to four hundred priests. Later he flees to the desert, where appears an angel that brings to him meal, walks forty days up to the God’s mountain where he has an experience with God.
